27 CLOA holders installed in Iloilo town

After 21 years that they were deprived of their rights over the awarded land,
the 27 Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs) in Barangay Pasig, Sara, Iloilo
were successfully installed to till the land and make it productive.

THE Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR)-Iloilo Provincial Office again successfully installed on Dec 19, 2018 the 27 Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs) at Barangay Pasig, Sara, Iloilo.

The ARBs are now in possession of the 66-hectare property formerly owned by Ma. Elena Yusay through a Writ of Installation issued on Dec 14, 2018 by Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer (PARPO) II Lucrecia S. Taberna.

The Writ of Installation was addressed to DARAB Sheriff Van Dexter Alegario.  He was ordered to carry out/implement the writ and place the CLOA title holders in physical possession of their awarded land with assistance, if necessary, of PNP/AFP, as provided by Joint DAR-DILG-DND Memorandum Circular No. 05, Series of 2002.

OIC-Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer (PARPO) I Harriet A. Loot, who leads the Technical Working Group (TWG) on FBs Installation, told the ARBs that they should cultivate and make the land productive and not to sell it because it was given by the government under the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP) to help improve their quality of life.  Land Bank of the Philippines (LBP) Representative Jeremias Bascoguin reminded them of their obligations to pay their land amortization with the LBP and Real Property Tax (RPT) to the Local Government Unit (LGU).

The 6 wheeler trucks distributed recently to 3 ARBOs in the Province of Iloilo.

Chief Insp. Asencion S. Ortizo, Sara police chief, assured everybody of the PNP’s support in CARP implementation by providing security in the maintenance of peace and order in the area.

ARB Corazon Pama said they are very thankful to DAR for giving them land.

Taberna, who was not present due to conflict in schedule, congratulated and thanked everybody for the success of the implementation.

DAR – Iloilo continues to deliver its mandate through “Lupa sa Paskwa” for the ARBs.

Recently, three units of 6-wheeler trucks were also distributed to three Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Organizations (ARBOs) in Iloilo – Southern Iloilo Area Multi-Purpose Cooperative (SIAMPC) in Oton, KAMTA Primary Multi-Purpose Cooperative (KAMTA) in Janiuay, and KASSAPI Agrarian Reform Cooperative in Passi City.
