TRACKSTERS from Area 7 made waves in the ongoing 2018 Negros Occidental Palarong Panlalawigan after harvesting gold medals at the Panaad Park and Stadium in Bacolod City, Dec. 19.
Bernalyn Bejoy captured her second gold medal as she topped the secondary girls’ 400-meter hurdles. Her teammate Jennifer Hudieres won the silver medal.
Bejoy of Romanito Maravilla National High School won her first gold medal in the secondary girls’ 400 meter dash after clocking 57.89 seconds.
Trexie dela Torre also bagged her second gold medal as she topped the secondary girls’ triple jump. Fellow jumper Franzine Alamo settled for a silver finish.
Angelu Gadaygan paced Area 1 as he won the gold medal in secondary boys’ long jump with Joshua Tacang of Area 3 and Romeo Constancio of Area 4 settling for the silver and bronze medals, respectively.
In shot put, Lyndon Huelar of Area 4 ruled the elementary boys’ category after defeating silver medalist Marty Lopez of Area 3 and bronze finisher Marivin Yerpo of Area 1.
