Team NOPSSCEA leads Palarong Panlalawigan

THE Negros Occidental Private Schools Sports, Cultural and Educational Association (NOPSSCEA) made their presence felt in the ongoing 2018 Negros Occidental Palarong Panlalawigan after winning their opening games in Bacolod City on Dec. 19.

Jade Cordova captured the gold medal in elementary girls’ 100-meter hurdles.

Siblings Ara Rahbea and Shaltea Delotavo finished with silver and bronze medals in secondary 100 m hurdles and elementary 400 m dash, respectively.

The team also bagged the championship in the secondary girls’ rhythmic gymnastics with Althea Descutido’s five gold medals and a silver in individual all around, hoop, ball, clubs and team, before settling for a silver medal in rope division.

TCA’s Kiana Marie Alagaban and Ella Jamelo finished second and third place in individual all around. Jaedriana Mariel Tirazona won the bronze in elementary girls individual all around.

In volleyball games, Bacolod Tay Tung High School (BTTHS) ruled the opening game of the secondary girls after beating Area 9, 25-11, 25-8, thanks to the efforts of Erika Deloria and Joan Marie Monares.

Living Stones International School-NOPSSCEA also upset Bacolod City in the secondary boys’ volleyball, 27-25, 19-25, 25-22.
